On Friday, December 12th several PMINJ chapter members, including Aaron Corona (Team Lead for Community Outreach) and the team volunteered at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey (CFBNJ), the state's largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization. We split into three teams, two teams made sandwiches and one team helped in the kitchen. During our time there we learned that CFBNJ does so much more than distribute food. They also provide access to hygiene products, assistance with SNAP applications, wellness programs, and job training.
CFBNJ's mission statement states that they are working together with volunteers, donors, and partners to fill the emptiness caused by hunger with Food, Help, and Hope. We hope that PMINJ's small contribution helped to forward their goals during this holiday season.
